At night of January 2nd, Hina called me, saying Taro wants Peter to be a model for his magazine Sb Skateboarding. As you can imagine, Peter was more than flattered and could not stop smiling.
In the morning of January 3rd, 1 day before our departure, Taro and Hina came to mom’s apartment in Tsukishima and set up a quick photo shoot for Peter. Hina played the role of Taro’s assistant. Mom, dad, and I followed them as a curious onlooker.
At mom’s apartment, deciding on which clothes to wear.
While Taro checks the angle and distance, dad cuts across his view.
While Mom holds onto Peter’s change, dad observes Taro and Peter in action.
Hina tries on Peter’s sunglasses and its case.
At the end of photo-shoot, Taro was so kind to take a portrait for us. Looking at the camera, I was regretting… “damn! I should have finished my make-up before leaving the apartment! I still have the eye-blows to draw!”
On the way back, Taro and Hina drove us to auntie Mieko’s apartment. We hurriedly chatted and exchanged information before we had to get off the car at a crossing. We said a casual farewell to each other, because I am not really good at an official farewell. Even though we don’t see each other so often, I feel a strong connection to them. May that be art they adore, places they visit, or people they respect.
When we came back to Switzerland, Taro’s zine “Foreclosure” was introduced in Peter’s magazine “20 Minuten Friday.” During Peter’s abcense, his staff chose it without knowing that Taro was Peter’s friend. What a coincidence!!

It’s only you, mo, who thought Peter lost weight. He gained a kilo in Japan, but it’s hard not to over there.

I think you know where it is. As soon as we recover from cold, we will start jogging and swimming, d’accord?
