If you don’t know any terminology or manners at a real Sushi restaurant but want to try Sushi anyways, I highly recommend Kaitenzushi (回転寿司), a Sushi bar where you can pick sushi on a plate from a belt-conveyor. You can eat as much as you want without being embarrassed or speaking a word of Japanese. Though this was not the main reason why I wanted to go to Kaitenzushi on our last night in Japan. I had never been to a real Kaitenzushi and wanted to try for fun. I also wanted to eat as much Sushi as possible without worrying about the check.
