Our Adoption Diary

When we started the adoption process in 2006, we bought a red sketch book and started the adoption diary. We wrote down every significant event in our life since then. When our daughter is old enough to understand, we will give her this book. Until then, we intend to continue writing.

Different from the book “An Adoption Diary“, we write our thoughts beyond the actual adoption process. We wrote stories from our volunteering trip to Thailand to how we felt and what we learned at various seminars and family days. We also draw illustrations, add photos and maps. When I didn’t have the diary with me, I used note pads, back of paper tray, etc. If I was pregnant, we could talk to her over my belly. Since we could not have done it, this is the only way to communicate to our daughter until we meet her for the first time. Now I’m writing about all the baby clothes and toys our friends and family gave us. Thank you very much, everyone!!
