What do you see here that you did not see before….? Yep, it’s the Tripp-Trapp highchair. We received this used chair from Peter’s former teacher as a gift, because his 14-years-old son does not want to sit in it any more. I really love this chair and am glad that we received this as a gift. The color of the wood looks much nicer after 14 years.

We got the belt and front arm from other families. It’s so funny that this chair exists in every family with kids in Europe. I had never seen this in US or Japan.

To clarify: trip-trap is the German sound of walking up stairs. So it’s a double meaning – the shape of the chair, and the chair that grows with the child as it gets taller.

I guess this chair is an international best seller, because we could collect missing parts from various families. Making a patchwork cushion is a cute idea!!
