My sister is coming to visit us from Boston and here is the shopping list I sent to her:
- Jell-O (any of these flavors: green apple, lime, orange, wild strawberry, black cherry)
- Thai tea and coffee mix from Asian grocery store
- maple syrup grade A
- Krispy Kreme doughnuts, original glazed
- Melon Pan at Taiwanese bakery in Chinatown
- Aspirin (strongest but w/o caffeine)
- Oreo cookies (if double stuff isn’t available, then anything but Gold)
- Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies Mint
- HERSHEY’S Syrup Genuine (original) or with Calcium
- hairband
If you think of anything that I should add to this list, please let me know.

I know!! It’s so embarrassing, but US is famous for its junk food after all… What do you miss the most from US?

Hmm.. that’s a tough question. I miss Lucien’s clam pasta, patsy grimaldi’s pizza, chinatown’s juicy dumplings, pho… i guess i miss specific dishes from the regular restaurants we used to go to…

Hey, I miss all these yummy food in NYC, as well. For me, Vietnamese Pho with grilled pork, Shanghai pork soup dumpling, dim-sum, Korean BBQ are the food I miss the most. We lived in such a great location, didn’t we? Thanks you for bringing us to Allen Street!!

Me too. But we never saved money in NYC because of that, remember? It was 7 days a week shopping.

It’s funny Nem + P-san, Johan and i were talking about how much money we spent in NYC just yesterday… going to Whole Foods all the time, eating 100 dollar dinners once even twice a week… Aaah.. those were the good old days

True, I miss eating out all the time!! Hey, I just read in Monocle that Göteborg is the up and coming city in Sweden. Some pictures reminded me of the cute shopping areas you guys took us to!
